"Thanks guys." Fire sniffed. They where sat either side of her, Corey had his arms around her and Max was holding the coffee he had made for her. "She abandoned me, I'm abandoning her. That's how it goes.
"So your real name is Cassandra Randal?" Max smiled. Fire shook her head.
"My Father named me Fire before he ran away, my mum couldn't stand to hear a name he had decided on so she called me Cassandra. I've always been Fire underneath. She's no mother to me, she can't tell me what to do anymore." She took hold of the coffee and finished it off. "Gonna finnish my back then?" She laughed to Max. He nodded and she lay back on the table. Corey watched in amazment. he normally hated this kind of piercing, but on Fire it would look amazing. Max put another two of the bars in and the door went again.
"Corey, go sort out the customer." Max ordered. Corey was honoured to be trusted with such a job. He smiled and went through.
"He's a good guy isn't he?" Max complimented. Fire nodded.
"He's great. Can you see why I liked him?" Max smiled. Corey skipped back through.
"Just bought some jewellry." He beamed at the sucsess of his job. Max laughed at how intreigued Corey was with the piercing.
"Do you want to do some of them Corey?" He smiled and held out some needles. Corey nodded.
"Wow, are you sure? Can you show me how? Really?" Max laughed at his reaction.
"Your girlfriends body you'll fuck up, not mine!" He laughed again and showed Corey the process of how to do it. Corey walked to the table, put on a pair of gloves and took a needle out of the wrapper. He took the clamps and hooked a little of Fire's skin into them. Shaking like hell, he pushed the needle through her skin. He threaded it through and followed it with a bar. He fixed the hoop onto the end and beamed. "Good job!" Max humored him. He had done it quite well really. "Do the next one Corey." Max really observed him this time. He watched carefully as Corey gently rubbed the skin before piercing it. "Why are you doing that?" He questioned. Corey looked back up at him.
"Erm, I don't know I saw Fire do it when she got her tongue done. She would sit and rub the around it to try and calm the skin or something like that."
"Yeah, it relaxes the skin and makes it easier to pierce. You're a natural, son. Keep going. This time, don't use the clamps, see if you can do it without." Max took the clamps from him and watched. Corey automatically pinched the skin with him fingers and using his thumb to line up the dots, he threaded through the needle and jewellry. "You're good at this kid. We could do with you at the shop, couldn't we Fire?"
"We sure could, you're good. Normally newbies really hurt, but that was good. We'll have to show him the ropes, Max." She held her hand out and he took it and smiled.
"Five left, Fire." Max stated, piercing another needle through her back.
"Get her a can of coke from down the arcade please, Corey." He darted out the room and down the rown of shops to the little news agent.
"Can I tattoo him, Max?" Fire asked. "I have a beautiful new design planned." Max shoved another needle into her back.
"Well, I think you should really get his parents permission first, but if not then I guess you still can. It wouldn't be THAT horrible."
"Thanks max. He's going to look gorgeous."
"He does look good sinse you sorted him out. If I was a girl, well,.... yum!" He laughed. "He could be a good piercer. Just like you. I want to make you an offer, Fire." She turned her head so she could see him. "How would you like to go into official partnership with me?" He pushed another needle through.
"I can't believe it." She felt a tear in her eye. "I would love to. I've been waiting for this day for so long. Thank you so much."
"I'm so glad you said yes." Max pushed the last needle through and threaded the jewellry. "We're done here. Do you want me to lace it?"
"Yes please, every coloured ribbon you have please!" Max smiled and left the room. Corey reappeared holding a can of coke and a bag of malteasers. "You know I don't eat, Corey." He passed her the coke.
"Oh Yeah." He opened the bag and began munching on them himself. She sat up on the table and kissed him. "you all done?"
"Yep!" She smiled and showed him. "Max is going to lace it for me." Max walked back into the room and began to lace. He showed Corey the right way to do it. It looked beautiful. It had taken all day and it was getting late.
"Theres only one more customer booked in today so I'm off." Max smiled. "You can handle them. Bye partner! Bye Corey!" He grabbed his coat and left.
"Corey?" She smiled, her favourite dread between her thumb and first finger. She looked into his eyes. "Do you trust me?" He nodded. "Can I tattoo you?" He looked at her.
"Can you do that?" He wasn't sure about it.
"Yeah! I have this gorgeous new design I'm just dying to try on you. I made it especially for you." She put her arms around him and kissed him. He nodded and sighed.
"I guess so." He gave in. He kissed her again and the last booked customer came in. Fire jumped off the bed.
"Hey, I'm fire, How can I help you?" She shook hands with the girl. She smiled and pointed to a bull ring in the window.
"Can I get my Spetum done with that please?" She smiled. She had short blonde hair with black highlights, probably about 20.
"Of course, if you'd like to take a seat in there on the bed and I'll be with you in a second." Fire smiled. "You wanna watch?" She smiled at Corey and he nodded. They followed into the room. The girl was on the bed.
"You look young to be doing this," The girl commented.
"Yeah I'm 14. Trust me though, I've been doing this for about 3 years now." She stretched the girls nose down a little and got out a pen. She dotted the point she wanted to pierce it and got out a needle. "This is going to be painful." She commented and the girl snapped her eyes shut and gritted her teeth. Fire forced the needle through. The girl screamed. "Nearly done." She threaded the ring through and spun on the fastner ball. "Done." The girl had tears in her eyes. Fire hugged her. "Done now and it looks amazing." The girl smiled.
"Thanks." She admired it in the mirror. She payed and left the shop.
"Can I start your tatt now?" Fire impatiently tapped on the table. He nodded and she walked over to the machine. She tapped a pot of black ink into the needle and set it going. She tapped the seat for him to sit down. He sat and she took off his shirt, turning him around so she was working on his back. "This is going to take a while."
"How long? It's already 9 p.m." He yawned. She spun the chair back around so he was facing her. She put her lips against his chest and worked up to his lips.
"It will take as long as it takes baby," she whispered it against his ear. He smiled and winked at her. She spun him back around and pressed the needle against his skin. He hissed. It hurt. She kept working away at it, he had no idea what she was doing, but it hurt. "I know it hurts, it's your first time, but it'll be okay. Looks great so far." Whatever she was drawing went from just below his shoulders to the bottom of his back. It was big. It went all the way across his back.
It was about midnight. "I'm so tired." Corey yawned. Fire agreed, she had been awake sinse about 7, it was very late. She had been tattoo-ing for hours. "Can we stop this for now please?" She nodded and slipped his shirt back over his head.
"Sleep on the table, I'll wake you up when I'm ready to do a bit more." She kissed his cheek and he walked towards the table. It was a very comfy table so he didn't have a problem with it. She began scratching away at a drawing of the tattoo, adding and altering to improve it in every way she could.
"Baby," Fire put her hand on Corey's shoulder. "Baby, can I do a little more now please?" He opened his eyes.
"Sure you can." He smiled in his half weary state. He slid off the bed and waddled into the other room and sat on the stool. Fire turned on the needle and it buzzed into action. She put it to his skin and began drawing away again.
"How was your sleep?" She made small conversation through yawns.
"It was good. Very comfy actually." He smiled. "I love that chair." He hissed slightly as she drew the needle across his spine.
"It's nice." She had an apology in her voice. He looked around and noticed she had closed all the metal shutters around the windows and opened up the cabinets, she'd been looking through the jewellry. "It wont take long now." She ran her fingers down his back.
"What time is it?" He fished around for his phone. She held his arm still with her free hand.
"It's 6." She yawned again. "I've been working on the design for this all night."
"You need sleep." He turned while she was topping up the ink. He flicked the machine switch and this turned off the needle. He put his arms around her and looked into her eyes. "Baby, you're knackered. Please sleep, for my sake."
"I don't need sleep." She laughed, swivelling him around and switching the needle back on. She put it to his skin and continued at the tattoo.
