  • The eleventh story

"ARRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Sally yelled as the plate she threw hit the wall and smashed into tiny peices. Adrian sat on Sallys bed waiting for her to cool off, watching a selection of objects get catapulted. Sally picked up her alarm clock and threw it as hard as she could. Out of breath, she flopped to the bed.
"I think we should give Chris a little call now, don't you?" Adrian smiled sarcastically, handing the phone to her. Sally held the phone to her ear after dialling. It rang. After a few seconds Chris answered.
    "Hey." He answered quitly.
"What did you think you where doing?" She yelled.
"I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking." He replied calmly.
"You must have been thinking something!" Sally answered him sarcastically. "You don't *accidentally* snog another girl."
"It wasn't my fault." He lied. "I thought she was you."
    "She was flipping blonde, Chris."
"Hmmm, right." Chris couldn't think of a reasonable explaination when the truth was because she liked him and she had nice tits. "She was just..... very nice....." He tried to be nice.
"Yeah, ok, she was very nice. Now I don't mind that you kissed her!" She gave her phone the finger and cut him off.

Earlier that day, Sally had walked into their classroom at lunch to find Chris in the middle of the room locking lips with a girl she had never seen before. She had long curly bleached blonde hair, blue eyes and she was stick thin. Her left eye wasn't as pretty anymore, now it had a big black bruise around it, to match the one around Chris' right eye. Yes, Sally had hit them both, incredibly hard. She had then avoided them for the rest of the day and ran home to call Adrian and tell her all about it. Sally was used to cheating but not being cheated on, it was not nice. Well, at least she knew how he felt now!

Chris was laying on his bed looking at the roof. Joel was sat crossed legged on the floor next to him. "What did you do to make Sally hit you?" Joel hadn't seen or heard.
"Well, nothing!" He continued to hold his stare at the ceiling.
"You must have done something, she wouldn't just hit you?"
"Well, I was just standing with Jodie and...." Joel stopped him talking before he could finish.
"Jodie?" He repeated. "You where just STANDING with Jodie." He asked.
    "Well,...... yeah."
"You don't just STAND with Jodie. She's a tart,.... oh my god." Joel smirked. "You freaking kissed her?" He clicked his fingers. "You did, didn't you?" Chris sighed.
"Yeah." He was disappointed in himself. "Yeah, I did." He rolled his eyes. It was lucky Joel was on the floor, he would never admit it but tears began streaming down Chris' face. "I don't want to lose Sal." He sniffed, trying his best to keep his crying a secret. He really didn't want to lose her but he knew she was down.

Sally thought of ways she could get revenge on Chris. How she could teach him a lesson. Adrian thought payback would be a bad idea, surely she had done enough to make payback already with Joel. Sally still wanted to get him! She had to get him where it hurt, she needed a really harsh way of showing him what was right. She had a great idea. "I GOT IT!" She yelled. "Phone." She comanded to Adrian who picked up the phone and threw it to her. She caught it gracefully and twittered through her phonebook. "Crap." She threw her phone back down. "I'm going to have to be more sneaky." She smiled.

Adrian knocked the door. Chris answered and she quickley pulled him outside and across the road. This was the perfect distraction. Sally checked the coast was clear and ran through the open door. She ran upstairs and grabbed the handle of his room and pulled it open with a smile. "WAH!" She let out a shocked scream. Joel was lying on the floor.
"What the..?" He asked, puzzled. She shook her head, walked across the room and began rummaging through Chris' stuff. "What are you doing?" Joel asked.
"Well, as I'm sure you already know, Chris has found a lovely piece of stuff on the side, so I'm going to do the same. All I need is his phone to get one of his mates numbers, unless of course, you would like another go?" She turned and paused what she was doing momenterrily to flash a crooked smile at Joel. He stood up, smiled back, walked to her, slid his arms around her back all in one smooth movement. She hummed an approving sound and lent to kiss him but he stopped her and let go of her. "What's wrong?" She asked, confused and angrily awaiting a kiss.
"Crap." He took a step back. "Laurri."
"No,.... Sally." She pecked his lips. "I'm not Laurri!"
"No. I ment, what about Laurri?" He closed his eyes and sighed.
"Shit." She fell back to her flat feet, no longer on tip-toes to reach his lips. "Yeah." She nodded.
"I really would love to help you get revenge on my best friend, I really would but I don't know....." He opened his eyes. Oh fuck it. He had already let her peck him, why not? She pushed into him and he couldn't resist it. Laurri was on holiday in New Zeland, she'd never know. He wrapped his arms around her neck and backed her into the wall. Chris walked in, followed by Adrian. They stopped talking and their jaws dropped.

Joel sat beside Sally on Chris' bed. They where looking at the floor, in shame. "I mean, how could you?" Chris yelled, he was pacing. They looked at eachother secretly and smiled, laughing at his pathetic attempt at a telling off. "Can't you just get over it. Get over it, or get toghether, but stop involving me and Laurri. She's going to hear about this by the way."
"Oh no. Please, please, please don't tell her." Joel fell to the floor and begged. "She'll finish with me. I can't... I can't... I need her." Chris nodded. He understood. As much as he was angry, devistated, at Sally, he knew he needed her.
"I suppose I can let you off." He hit him around the back of the head with a newspaper. "But don't do it again." He ordered. Joel nodded, got up, beconned Adrian to join him and they left. There was silence between them.

Chris eventually decided that he ought to speak. "So. What do you think you deserve for this?" He asked her.
"Well...." She paused as she realised what a silly question it was. "I guess, you could forget it ever hapened. I get nothing." She smiled. It might work. He let out a pathetic *yeah right* laugh.
"Oh no." He shook his head and a seductive, yet sadistic look appeared on his face. "Not this time." He tilted his head. "I want you to prove to me,... that you still want me." He winked. She rose to her feet and took slow steps towards him. She only stopped when she was just a few millimetres from Chris' body. She lifted her head and he kept a gaze on her, she slowly reached her arms to the side and up to his face where she grabbed his face, fiercly pushing her lips to his. Her left hand grabbed his hair, careful not to hurt him. The other moved slowly down his back and cheekily rested on his arse. He accepted this, showing it by kissing her back just as passionately, and if it was possible, even more violently than she was. His hands grabbed her arms and held her tight. This was amazing, but it wasn't quite good enough to prove she wanted him.

Sally stroked Chris' leg as she kissed him, passionately, but not the same as before. This was sweet and gentle. She had sent him into a state of extacy where he could barely rmember everything. 1.Kiss 2.Breathe. It was hard for him, thinking about how much pleasure he was currently experiancing. He felt her slowly press her hand further and further up his leg untill his eyes opened wide to feel quite where her hand was now rested. She felt him smile and giggle slightly at this thought. His eyebrows raised for a while in astonnishment to quite what she was doing as he felt her other hand get lower and lower down his back, once again forcing a tight grip on his ass. She continued to kiss him, just as skillfully as before, which must have required a lot of concentration and, what can only be described as hand, LIP co-ordination! Slowly, she pulled her ice cold lips from his, leaving a slight smile in its place. Sally kissed his neck and traced his jaw line with her nose. She gently bought her hands off his body and found his hands, she had been in controll, untill now. Chris reversed the roles and he took her hands in his. Moving his neck as she kissed it, he bought his lips to her ear. "I love you." He breathed it and she smelt his warm breath surround her ear and face. She repeated the words to him, but speaking it into his chest, face pushed into him she sat. He stroked her hair. "I'm sorry." She whispered, her voice slightly muffled. He nodded.

Meanwhile, Laurri was having the same kind of fun in New Zeland. She smiled as realised this was the perfect way to get back at Joel. She smiled evily as Elliot let her go. Great, she thought to herself. The crooked smile became contageous as Elliot mirrored it, he knew all about Joel, he smiled at the thought. "Should we get back at Joel again?" He asked, holding his hand out. She nodded, took his hand and he pinned her to the wall, kissing her gently. She forced her hands through his short black hair, holding his face to hers. He felt a smile on her lips as he pressed into them. She wondered what Joel was doing at that moment.

Joel was on the phone to Sally. "I can't stop, Sal." His tone was needy and persistant.
"I know just what you mean." She sighed. "I keep thinking about you, too."
"What can we do about it?" Joel smelt his shirt and smiled slightly as he reconised the scent of Sally.
"Well, I don't want to hurt Chris." She frowned to herself. "But..." Joel's eyes widened. He liked *but*. "I guess, if he didn't find out."
"We could see each other?" He interrupted before she could finnish.
"Yeah." She bit her bottom lip at the risk of Chris finding out. "Seven?"
"Seven." Joel confirmed. "Can't wait." He smiled and hung up, flopping onto his bed. He loved Laurri. My god, he loved Laurri. But.... then there was Sally. Sally was amazing for Joel. She healed him when Laurri had cut him, he wanted what he couldn't have. Oh well, tonight would be the last time, he was sure of it.

Sally was lying upside down off a swing, her hair touching the ground. She sat up and shook her head, asif to snap out of a trance when she heard Joel call her name. He ran to her and she stood up, stepping into his arms. He held her tight and took a deep breath in, smelling her hair. She rested her head against his neck, clinging to him with a smile. He took her hand and led her across the park and into a field behind it. It was dark now and the stars shone brightly in the sky above them, he sat with her in the middle of the field, looking up toward them. He stretched his arm behind her and rested it on her opposite shoulder. She turned to him slightly and slid both arms around him, holding him close to her. He lent down and brushed her lips with his. She closed her eyes and concentrated deeply on him, he used his other hand to cup her face. "Sally." He breathed as he tilted his head a little, to angle his kiss. He tasted sweet and she couldn't help but kiss him back. He let go of her face and moved his hands to her hips, she put both hands on his shoulders. They're kiss became more intense every second, he forced her backwards a little, making her fall back, they're lips never parting. She was forced to lye down by Joel's fierce embrace. He lay her down gently and put his hands on either side of her, propping himself only a few centimetres away from her body.
"Oh my god, Joel." She breathed in shock. He smiled in victory, Sally's phone rang.
"Ignore it." Joel ordered between kisses. She agreed and kissed him again, but then fumbling in her pocket for her phone.
"If I don't answer, it'll look suspitious." She hissed. Joel nodded and stopped kissing her, leaning back over to the origional place he had been sitting. "Hello?" She sounded impatient.
"Hi, err, Sal?" It was Chris.
"Shit" She whispered to Joel, her hand over the mouthpiece. "Chris" She pointed at the phone. "What is it Chris?"
"Yeah. Errm,.. Do you want to hang out?" Sally slapped her palm to her forehead.
"Great." She muttered sarcastically. "Not right now, Chris." She was imaptient, she had only one thing on her mind right now. It was not Chris.
"Oh." He sounded put out. "Ok." There was a pause of silence. "Bye Sal." She cut him off and lept back to Joel. He kissed her unenthusiasticly. She looked at him puzzled and kissed hm again, with feeling. He still barely retaliated.
"Joel?" She had never had a boring kiss with Joel before.
"I'm sorry, Sally." He shook his head, putting his hand to her face, gently caressing her. "I don't think I can do this." He moved his face closer to hers. "Chris is my best friend." He kissed her cheek. "Laurri is my girlfriend." He kissed the space between her cheek and lips. "But... then theres you." He whispered, his tone changing from apologetic to needy. He kissed her full on the lips but she stopped him this time.
    "You're, right Joel."
"No. No I'm not." He smiled, kissing her again.
"JOEL. No. I love Chris, I'm sorry, and I know you love Laurri." She held him tight, and he held her. "I don't think we can do this to them." She shook her head. "Again." She added. He let her go. She tried to smile at him hopefully, but couldn't smile at the fact she would never be with Joel again. He nodded.
"Okay." Sally was about to stand up to leave when Joel stopped her. "But, please....." He took her hand and pulled her back to the floor. "One last kiss? Just to make it an official last kiss." Sally didn't hesitate. She threw her arms around his neck and forced her lips to his, he took her and made sure it would be a kiss to remember. All too soon it was over. "Bye Sally." He waved as he walked away, leaving her breathless on the ground. This would take a little getting over. She took out her phone.
"Chris? Yeah. I changed my mind."

Joel walked home in the dark on his own. Every now and then a streetlight would light his path, making his shiney black shoes glisten. His eyes where on the floor, knowing that was the last time he would kiss Sally made him sad, but the thought of losing Laurri and Chris made him equally as sad. He was cold, he had given his jumper to Sally earlier but he was fine. The cold only helped forget Sally. Laurri would be home soon, he couldn't wait! He hoped that whatever happened, she never found out about this.

"Hey. Chris." Sally walked to Chris and hugged him. He hugged her back, but with a puzzled look upon his face.
"No kiss?" He sounded concerned. She laughed slightly and kissed his cheek. He very obviously cleared his throught and pointed to his lips. Sally sighed and raised to her tiptoes to peck his lips. "Pathetic." He muttered under his breath.
"For god sakes." She chattered as she spun back round to face him, used his shoulders to lift her onto the balls of her feet and stuck her tongue into his mouth. He laughed as he grabbed her, kissing her violently. She left him, and brushed herself down. "There." She stated and smiled wide. Her point proven. She began to walk across the park, Chris ran to catch up with her.
"Wow." He laughed. She smiled smugly. "You have a strange taste on your lips tonight." He frowned. "A sweet taste." He confirmed, kissing her again to see. "What have you been doing Sally?" He sounded angry.
    "Nothing." She answered too fast.
"Yes you have. What could possibly change the taste on your lips?" He asked himself. "Oh my god." He looked even angrier. "You kissed Joel again didn't you?" He took a step back. She shook her head.
    "No, no I didn't."
"You did." He confirmed, noticing she had his favourite coat on. "I don't know what to say." He spun and fell to the floor. "You know how strongly I feel about you, Sally. How could you possibly do this to me?"
"I'm so unbelievably sorry, Chris. He just feels.... special." She frowned at her choice of words. "Not that you're not special." She corrected. "Joel is..... soft and sweet but strong!" She sat by him.
"He's my best friend Sally. He has a girlfriend. What where you doing?"
"Nothing really. I just kissed him." She kept her eyes on the floor.
"Once?" He questioned. He needed to know.
"Well....." there had been numerous kisses, she didn't know what to say."Not exactly"
"How many, Sally?" He was very concerned. "I need to know." He demanded.
"Well. I don't know." There had been too many times. "I'm so sorry." He shook his head in dissapointment. He stood up and began to walk away. Sally ran after him. "CHRIS." She yelled. He didn't retaliate. "I know this is hard to believe, right now." She had to jog to keep up with him. "but I love you more han anything in the whole world. More than Joel, more than my family." She stood infront of him to stop him. "I love you" she yelled. He did stop. "I love you." She whispered this time as she dropped her head to the floor and let herself fall into his chest. He sighed and wrapped his arms around her back. He had to give in.

Laurri slammed her suitcase down on her bed at home and picked up her phone. "Hello Joel." She used her receptionist voice. "I'm home." She smiled. He didn't sound very happy.
"Kay." He mumbled. "Do you want me to come over?" He was quiet and unenthusiastic.
"Great." She hung up the phone and smiled evilly, remembering Elliot. She would tell him about Elliot if he ever cheated again. Little did she know, he already had. She opened her case and took out the neatly packed shoes and placed them carefully under her bed. Very soon, the doorbell rang. She ran down the stairs and answered it. Joel just walked straight past her, into her house and up the stairs.
"Hi." He mumbled on his way past. She caught up with him in her room. "How was it?" He hadn't even hugged her.
"I'll tell you in a minute, first, wheres my hug?????" She stamped her foot. He nodded his head, stood up and hugged her. "Better. What about a kiss?" She grabbed his head and tried to kiss him, he just turned away. He wasn't in the mood to kiss anyone right now. If he didn't kiss her then she would get suspitious, and he wasn't about to let go of her. He put him arms around her and kissed her gently. She smiled. "Thats better!" She stated and shoved him back onto the bed. She started unpacking further when she paused. "I'm going to the bathroom." She smiled as she walked out the door. Joel stood up and began taking things out of her bag and placing them in neat piles, when he came across a t-shirt. He had never seen it before, it was too big for Laurri, it looked like a mans shirt. He studied it and noticed there was a tiny name written in neat handwriting on the labell in the collor. *Elliot Sanson*. Why would her shirt say that? What if it wasn't her shirt, then, who's shirt was it? Why did she have another guys shirt in her suitcase? He held it up and Laurri walked back in. She shook her head and she gasped, leaving the room quickly.

Laurri walked back into her room. It was five minutes since Joel had found the shirt, and he still had no idea what was going on. He was sat on her bed, holding Elliot's shirt, looking puzzled. She looked very pale walking to her bed, every step was torture, eventually, she reached him. She sat next to him on the bed and lent on his shoulder. "Who is Elliot, Laurri?" He spoke in a deep and calm voice. She took a deep breath.
"He is one of my new friends. I met him in New Zeland." She too tried to stay calm.
"A friend who likes to take his shirt off?" He asked sarcastically.
"Err.... yes." She confirmed. "I guess that is pretty unbelievable." He pushed her off his shoulder.
    "What happened?" He was firm.
"Well...... Elliot didn't know I had you and... well, he,...." She couldn't speak properly. "Kissed me." She coughed quietly.
"He kissed you." Joel repeated. "Ok. Did you kiss him back?"
    "Maybe. Just a few times."
"A FEW times?" He looked shocked. "How many is that?" He frowned.
    "A... er.... alot."
"Great. Well, I wasn't going to say this but I kissed Sally again! HAH!" He laughed as he stood up and faced her. Her expression changed from smug to just plain hurt. "BUT.... we decided we couldn't let it happen again because of you." He shook his head and turned to walk out the room.
"Wait." Laurri stood up and put a hand on his shoulder. "Don't go. I'm so sorry for what I did." He turned and took her hand.
"Me too." He smiled and took her in his arms. She relaxed, knowing full well how much he loved her.

  • The tenth story

    Not finished yet.

"Oh god, oh god, oh god." Sally muttered as she ran down Chris' path. She knocked the door violently. It was ten thirty at night in Winter, what was she doing. A tired Chris came to the door. He was wearing just a pair of black cotton boxers but then examined Sally's outfit and decided he looked normal. She was wearing two odd socks, one was up to her kneww and the other only half up her shin, a pair of brown board shorts with white flowers on them and a white bra.
"Errr..... Hi Sally." He yawned. "Am I dreaming?" As he leaned his arms out to hug her with a smile.
"No, you're not." She snapped and just ducked under his arms, into his house. She paced the floor.
"What's up?" He watched her walk up and down his floor.
"Oh God, it's a long story, can I get a cup of tea?" She stopped, realised she hadn't even said hi and hugged him. He held her tight and refused to let her go as he realised what state she was in. If he let her go, she would probably blow up! She tried to let go of him but realised she should probably just let him hold her there. She rapped her arms around his back. Chris looked down at her and kissed her nose.
"Chill, okay?" He whispered. She looked up and he kissed her violently, then resting his chin on her shoulder he spoke softly. "You can explain when you're a little calmer." He kept a straight face even despite her rudeness and quite hilarious appearance. He took her hand, stopped hugging her and lead her to the sofa, she sat down. "Now don't move." His words where comforting to her and he walked into the kitchen and made her a cup of tea.
"Okay, so I was just leaving the park with Laurri and we both crossed the road. She realised she left her keys on the grass and so she ran back to get them and ran across the road to follow me." Sally explained to Chris and he just held her hand and listened. "She didn't look and she was half way accross when....." She was struggling to talk so Chris put one hand on her face and kissed her cheek. "There was a car." Chris looked shocked. "And Laurri didn't see it coming and the drived didn't see her and....." Chris shook his head and pulled Sally's head on to his neck, wrapping the other arm around her back.
"Where is she now, how is she?" Chris questioned.
"She's in hospital." She could barely be heard as her voice was projected into Chris' neck. "They don't know what's going to happen to her." She spoke again.
"Sally?" Chris whispered quietly into her ear. His warm breath made her spine tingle. "Do you want to stay here tonight? My parents are away, I'll sleep on the floor." He closed his eyes and stroked her hair. She nodded. "Okay sweety."
Sally lay still on Chris' bed and listened hard to him breathe on the floor. The pattern was almost rhythmical. No matter how hard she tried, she could not get to sleep. She needed somebody. She stood up without a sound so as not to wake Chris, pulled the cover off the bed and draped it over him. She slid down to the floor and positioned herself next to Chris. Chris noticed she was there and without opening his eyes, he put his arm over her and pulled her a little closer. She felt safe now.
Chris woke up first that morning. The roles had reversed from last night, he was now facing the wall with Sally hugging him from behind. He reached across the floor and grabbed his phone, he began to text Joel. Joel knew all about what happened and he wasn't sure what was going on either. Chris explained about what happened with Sally, and how she had turned up late, just got back from the hospital all shakey. Joel told him the visiting hours and Chris agreed it would be a good idea to go and see her. Sally's arms where warm and comforting so quickly, Chris fell back asleep. After a few minutes, Sally woke. She was comfortable and warm, she kissed Chris' neck and rested her head on his shoulder, he woke back up slowly. "I've been texting Joel." He next turned to face her with her arms around him still. "He doesn't know what's going on either but we are allowed to go and see her if you like?" He looked into her chocolate eyes. She nodded with a small smile. She was now wearing one of Chris' t-shirts which was too big for her but it was warm. She sat up.Chris and Sally walked, hand in hand down the street. She felt better now after a night with Chris, but in all fairness, she always felt better with Chris. They where on the way to the hospital to visit Laurri. It was her birthday tomorrow and terribly bad timing to have had this accident. Joel would probably be there, Sally could do with seeing him aswell. The hospital was only about three minutes from where they were and Sally couldn't wait to see Laurri and find out how she was doing. Chris let go of her hand and repositioned it around her back. She rested her head on his shoulder as they walked.
"She'll be o.k." Chris guessed. She looked up at him as she leaned. His eyes met hers and he reached down and kissed her.
"I hope so." She spoke quietly. He nodded.
When Chris and Sally got to Laurri's bed, Joel was sat there. He had his head down on her bed and she was asleep. "Joel." Chris questioned. He looked almost asleep, with his face pushed into the covers. He obviously hadn't noticed them as when he sat up he looked shocked. His eyes where red but he would never admit if he'd been crying. He rubbed his eyes with the back of his hand and sniffed. "How's she doing?" Chris put his hand on Joel's shoulder.
    "Not good." Joel sounded tired.
"What's actually wrong with her?" Chris put his arm around Sally, with his other hand still on Joel.
"Well, it's the same problem I had. Right now, she's in a sort of coma-ey thingy." He wiped his eyes fast before the tear in his left eye fell.
"So, do they know when she's going to wake up?" Chris looked hopefull.
"No." Joel put his head down again. Sally walked over to Joel, sat beside him and rubbed his back.
"Watch it." Chris warned Sally. She threw him a dirty look and focused back on Joel. She leaned down to his level on the bed and put her arm around him. Chris put his hand on her shoulder and pulled her back up. "You don't want to make another problem, Sal." He was right but Joel needed her right now so she grabbed his arm and pushed it off her shoulder. She then pulled Joel up by his arm and hugged him. He hugged her back and she felt his tears on her neck. She whispered something to him. He smiled and hugged her tighter. He closed his eyes tight and thought of good things.
"Joel? Sally? Chris?" The three heard a voice. It was quiet and raspy. Sally stopped hugging Joel and stood up. She looked around. "It is you." sally turned around and then realised who was speaking.
"LAURRI!" She yelled. Joel stood up too and hugged Sally momenterily.
"You where right." He whispered as he pulled away from their hug and bent down to see Laurri.Sally turned to Chris.
"I'm sorry I was ignoring you then but, Joel needed my sympathy." She smiled. Chris didn't. "He was going through something horrible and he really needed me to be there for him." She put her arms out for a hug from Chris. He ignored it.
"So, you knew it was going to annoy me if you went to him, but you still did it." He shook his head. "I don't think so Sally." He stormed out of the hospital. Sally sat on the chair with her head in her hands.
"What happened?" Joel turned back to her.
"Chris doesn't understand the fact I was hugging you because you really needed it." She couldn't talk.
"Oh." Joel frowned. "It was purely out of friendship." He nodded.
"I know but he doesn't realise it." She stood up. "I'm going after him." She too walked out.
Sally knew that every time Chris was upset he would go down to the river. That should be where he was. She ran down the bank and looked around. He was on the other side of the river with lying on his back looking into the sky. She waded through the water and over to him. It was raining heavily already, a little bit of river wouldn't make a differance. She shouted his name. He just lay still. She got out of the river and ran to him. "I love you so much." She shouted as she sat beside him. She had to shout to be heard over the rain. "I wouldn't do it to you again." She leaned over him and kissed his passionately. He opened his eyes and sat up. He sat in shock from that kiss. Eventually, he managed to string a sentance back together.
"How do I know." He lay back down.
"Because I'm your girlfriend and I wont lie to you." She took a pause. "I frikking love you. Joel won't stop or change that." She lent over him again and put her hand on his face. He opened his eyes again and placed his hand on top of hers. She kissed him again. He found himself kissing her back. He didn't want to but it was such an amazing kiss.
"I..... I..... Oh god, I'm trying so hard to hate you, but that was such an amazing kiss, I can't. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is.... I love you." She kissed him once more and smiled. The rain was heavy and her lips where cold. He sat up and took off his jumper. He wrapped it around Sally's bare shoulders and hugged her tight. "I love you." He whispered and they found a tree to shelter under and they wached the rain, falling in the river. It was beautiful.

  • The ninth story.

    Finished

"I'm sorry but it just seems a little coincidental that every time we get a crack in our relationship you go off with Sally." Laurri snapped. "You do it all the time!"
"I so do not." He stood his ground even thought he knew it was true.
"Oh come on?" She looked Joel up and down. "You know it's true."
"Well, what do you want me to do about it?" He laughed.
"YOU don't have to do anything. Because I'm going to do it for you." She stood still, infront of him and turned to face him. "We're over Joel." The expression on Joel's face turned from smug to devistated. "You have hurt me WAY too many times now!" He went to speak but she wouldn't let him interrupt her. "And everytime, it's Sally!" She made a good point.
"Sally's the next best thing to you." He realised he wasn't making anything better. "Oh, and I knew it would get to you easily." She looked disgusted at that. He went to speak agin but realised that he really ought to shut up.
"We are OVER!" She stormed off before he could see her cry. As she walked away Joel began to feel himself fight the urge to breakdown. She just got out of sight when he did. He was kneeling in the middle of a cornfield, crying his eyes out, knowing that it was entirely his fault.
"Ok, so where is Joel now?" Sally asked after being explained the whole story. She was with Chris, Adrian, Sam, Caroline and Adrian's boyfriend, Martin.
"He's in the corn fields." Laurri pointed in the right direction.
"I'm going to go and see if he's ok." Sally stood up.
"If you even try and kiss him, I'l kill you!" Chris and Laurri spoke in unison. Sally nodded and ran towards the field. Chris would not be in a good state and he needed somebody who understood him, which Sally did.
Joel felt a hand on his shoulder. He was sat on the floor with his head towards the floor between his legs. He didn't look to see who it was. Sally sat beside him and threw her arms around him. She leaned her head on his arm. He took a deep breath and raised his head, he lent on her too. They just sat. "I am so sorry." She spoke quietly. He didn't reply. "This is almost entirely my fault." She continued.
"No. No it's not." He sniffed. "Yeah, you kissed me, but I kissed you back...... It takes two people." He rubbed his eyes.
"Ok. Well, just don't blame yourself totally. ALOT of it was my fault." She smiled. She was still hugging him and he hadn't moved. He let go of his legs and hugged her back. They both shut they're eyes, arms locked. She could feel his breathing on her neck and they let go of each other. She kissed him for a few seconds and stopped. "No." She spoke softly. "Probably shouldn't do that."
"You're right." He smirked. They just hugged again. Joel felt safe and content now. "Thank you Sally." He stopped hugging and stood up.
"Right! Let's go re-gain Laurri's trust!" Sally shouted as she stood up too and they hugged once more followed by a high five!
Tap! Tap! TAP! Laurri got out of bed and walked over to the window. She opened the window to see Joel. "FUCK OFF JOEL! I'M TRYING TO SLEEP!" She shut the window before he could say anything. Sally stepped out from the shadows to see him. She put her hand on his shoulder and patted it.
"We'll try again with something new tomorrow. Maybe this wasn't a great idea." Sally smiled, sympathetically. He smiled back and gave her a quick hug when the curtains opened again.
"Fuck." Laurri yelled. "You two again!" Joel and Sally stopped their goodbye hug and looked up in realisation of what it must have looked like. "I don't believe it."
"It's not what it looks like!" Yelled Joel, trying his best to prove the truth.
"Yeah right." She closed the curtains and locked the window. Sally smiled as she saw the funny side of it and waved at him as she walked away. Joel went home then too.
The next day, Joel arrived at Laurri's house. He knew she wouldn't open the door to him so he walked around the back. The gate was locked. He climed up it after Sally, who was there to help again, she had landed perfectly on the flowerbed, which crushed it a bit, but no real harm. Joel climed the fence, tripped and fell off the top of the gate and landed on Sally, bringing them both crashing to the floor in the flowerbed. They burst out laughing and Joel began to get up off of her and Laurri walked into the garden. "WHAT?" She screeched. Joel and Sally looked at themselves, then at each other and realised, they where lying ontop of each other in a flowerbed, laughing. Joel gritted his teeth.
"I swear nothing happened." Joel shook his head and got up off of Sally. "We where climbing the gate so I could go through the back way to speak to you, I trpped and fell over the fence onto sally." He smiled. Laurri did not.
"Oh, yeah, very believeable." She walked towards her house. "I can't believe you two." She stormed in and locked the door behind her. Sally stood up and they decided they should leave it again for the day. So far, it was not going well.
Chris asked Laurri to meet him in the park as part of Joel and Sally's plan. She agreed and began walking to the park. Joel was sat on the grass just across the street and this time, Sally was going to leave first! There was grass on either side of the road that she had too cross to get out of the way. They saw Laurri coming and Sally began to run across the road. Joel saw a fast moving car that sally hadn't. He ran after her and dived after her so he could push her out the way. They landed on the grass, the side of the road that Joel had a picnic set up for Laurri. He had saved Sally's life. She could barely breathe, she was so shocked. He hugged her as hard as he could. She almost died, he saved her! This guy saved her life. She couldn't believe it! Then Laurri arrived. Once again, they where kying on the floor, hugging next to a romantic looking picnic. "Fuck, Laurri. This looks really, really bad. I swear, it's not what it looks like, really. Sally ran across the road and almost got hit by a car and then I dived and we landed here and......" Joel tripped over his words.
"Fuck you Joel." She kicked him and ran back across the park.
Joel, Sally and Chris sat at the table in Sally's house. They had a huge piece of paper and they where trying to find the perfect plan that couldn't backfire. "Stuff it! I can't be arsed with all this." Joel stood up. "I'm going to go and see her." He walked towards the door. He reached the hall when Sally stopped him.
"You have sauce on your t-shirt. She laughed and stood close to him and rubbed it off with her fingers. At that moment, laurri walked through the door to see Joel satnding in the hall with Sally standing close to him, rubbing his chest.
"Not again." She walked out the door, slamming it behind her. Sally slid down the wall so she was sitting on the floor.
"Are we ever going to sort this?" She asked. Joel wasn't sure.
Laurri agreed to meet Chris at the village hall. She had no idea what was going on but when she got there Chris was standing outside. He led her through to the main hall where Chris took his hand away from her eyes. She was shocked. At the back of the room was a banner that said: PLEASE TAKE ME BACK LAURRI! She could only just see it because the room was lit by candles. There where rose petals scattered all over the floor and red and white fabric was hung from the ceiling and walls. Laurri felt a tear down her cheek. They where tears of happiness. She looked all around and noticed Joel was sitting in the middle of the room. He was wearing a black suit and had a rose in his mouth. Chris backed out of the room and shut the door. "Did you do this?" She asked. Joel nodded slowly, he becconed her to come and she did. He stood up and flicked a switch. Music played. He opened his arms and she began to run. She jumped and he caught her, he held her tight and spun in a circle with the girl he loved. For the last huge surprise, he pulled a box from his pocket. They where now sitting in the centre of the hall beside eachother, cuddling. He passed her the box. She pulled upen the lid to reveal a beautiful gold pendant. "Joel?" She smiled and another tear fell.
"Look on the back." He gestured. She turned over the tiny plate of gold and read the back. It said:
I love you Laurri, more than life itself,
I need you and would do
    anything, to prove it.
    xJoelx
She began to cry as she kissed him. Chris and Sally had been sitting in the ceiling watching. They sat and watched Laurri and Joel kiss, Chris leaned over. "You know? I love you even more than that." He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. She ran her hand up his leg and the other around his chest. She nodded and kissed him. Everybody was happy.

  • The eighth story

    Complete

Joel smiled. Laurri smiled. They smiled at each other at the door. He kissed her and waved as she began to walk down the street. Laurri was about to go into town to meet up with her friends, Sally, Adrian, Sam and Caroline. The girls were great mates and hung out alot. Joel had a great idea, he would go to town and surprise her! He called Chris and asked if he wanted to join him, and he did! They bought the girls chocolates and headed to where they were.

"Heeeey guys!" Laurri laughed as she walked up to the group of goth girls. Everybody waved and she sat down with them. She liked hanging out with the girls. They were great fun! They pretty much had the day planned out. She always missed Joel when she hung out with them, but it never mattered, she always got to see him after, and often, they would meet up in town.

"There they are!" Chris whispered, pulling Joel behind a tree. A group of five girls were stood on the grass, all dressed simalarly. Joel stepped from behind the tree and put his fingers to his lips to signal the other girls to be quiet. They nodded. Joel ran up to them, grabbed Laurri, picked her up, spun her to face him and kissed her. They group went silent. He shrugged at them and kissed her again. "What?" Joel asked. Why was it weird, what was different, what were they staring at? He kissed Laurri again and gave himself a tight grip on her ass.
"JOEL." Laurri shouted. He just grabbed her arse tighter. "Joel. Look at me. He looked at her with a huge smile. Then his smile dropped. He let go of her and pushed her backwards. "You're a fool." She shook her head, for the person that he thought was his girlfriend was his girlfriend's best friend. It was Sally who he had kissed, groped and spoken to. Not Laurri. He muttered something under his breath, grit his teeth and turned around. Standing behind him was Laurri. Laurri shook her head, sniffed as a sngle tear ran down her face, slapped him and ran. Sally looked at Joel. "Maybe get your eyes tested tomorrow, yeah?" She chuckled. "Not a good thing to do, but I must say, you're a brilliant kisser." He smiled at her, proudly. She kissed him again, knowing full well she shouldn't, but one more couldn't hurt. She stayed for a truly great kiss then left his lips and began to run after Laurri but stopped. "Ok, one more." She smiled and kissed him again. "Lauri!" She shouted.

"It wasn't his fault!" Sally had her arm around Laurri. "He just thought I was you." She smiled at Laurri. "Look. He loves you, he wouldn't purposely do this to you! He would have to find somebody really, really special to replace you!" Sally had a good point. Laurri began to smile more and more.
"I suppose I can forgive an honest mistake!" She accepted it now. "Anyway, it was only two short kisses. That's all! Right?" She smiled and tilted her head.
"Well,...... yeah." Sally put on a fake smile. It was probably best that she didn't know about the purposefull kisses. She was about to dump Joel for accidentally kissing another girl, without doing it on purpose aswell! Sally thought back to a few minutes ago. That was the first time in a while that she really enjoyed a kiss. She loved Chris still, obviously but Joel was great. Joel made her feel special, the way he still kissed her when he knew she wasn't his girlfriend. She liked that!

Luckily, later that day, Sally found out that Chris had missed the kisses. He had noticed a man lying on the floor and he decided it best to check it out. The other girls had been checking out the hot guy on the other side of the road. She was saved. The only person besides her who knew was Joel and he wasn't going to tell anyone! It would all be forgotten. A few minutes later she got a text from Joel. He told her to meet him in a few minutes at the park. Sally liked meeting with Joel, they normally got ice-cream then talked about random things like seagulls! She got there and Joel was standing against a tree. "Oh, hey Jo....." she was about to speak to him when she noticed him stroking her hair. She smiled and felt tingley, like before. She asked no questions, she just took a deep breath and kissed him. They stood, hiding behind the tree, kissing.

Sally and Joel had been standing against the tree for about twenty minutes when they realised the truth of what theyw ere doing. Joel stopped kissing her. Sally frowned. "I don't think we should tell Chris and Laurri about this." She shook her head. Joel nodded. "Yeah." They both looked slightly ashamed with each other.
"Well, I suppose I ought to leave now then, shouldn't I?" Sally turned and began to walk away. She got about 15 metres away when Joel replied.
"Unless....." He began. She turned back to face him and sprinted back towards him, into his arms. She felt his long, strong arms embrace and hold her. Chris' arms were weak. Joel had controll, Chris was a pushover. If Sally wanted to leave in Chris' arms, she could. It would be easy, he had no force and controll. If she wanted to leave right now, she felt that she couldn't. She liked the fact Joel had controll of her. She dropped onto him, she no longer stood properly but let herself fall under Joel's spell. He supported her and she kissed him. Her eyes where closed and she felt his breath heavy on her neck, it was warm and comforting. She didn't know how she could do this to her best friend, but Joel felt so, so, so right.

Sally and Joel sat at the bottom of the hill. Sally was sat infront of him with his arms around her. "What are we going to do?" She asked Joel quietly. "I love Chris so much, you know that." Joel listened and nodded. "And you love Laurri." He nodded again. "So, we shouldn't be doing this."
"Right." He agreed. She lent back onto him.
"But....." She looked up at him. "I really love this. I love YOU. You make me feel special."
"I feel the same. Of course I love Laurri, but I love you too. I know I tried my best earlier to make you feel special."
"Maybe, we can make everybody happy?" Sally smiled deviously.
"Oh we can?" He slid his hands through her hair and onto both sides of her face.
"Nobody needs to know about us. We can continue being with Chris and Laurri AND we can see each other..... In secret." Joel turned her around and looked into her eyes. He kissed her slowly and gently.
"I like." He raised his eyebrows. "I like this alot." She kissed him again. "I'm sorry, but I have to go." He spoke happily looking at his watch. "I've gotta' go and see my girlfriend......." He laughed. "Goodbye Sal." He kissed her once more, for a long time and then stood up. She waved and he left.

"Hey!" Joel waved at Laurri. Laurri smiled and kissed him happily. She pulled a face..... "What's wrong?"
"You taste....." She kissed him again. "Like Sally's favourite chewing gum." He smiled suspitiously.
"Yeah, well, she gave me a bit earlier." He covered his tracks. She believed him and they walked down the road together, holding hands! Joel was happy with himself. He had two girls and he loved them both, but it could never last.

"So, did she know anything?" Sally whispered to Joel across the tabe at school. He shook his head. "Good. So can I see you tonight?" She winked. He nodded with a smile.
"Of course. I have to go to a party, I never told Laurri about it, so you can come if you like?" Joel looked at her. She nodded.
"See you there!" She winked with a smile.

Sally dressed up nicely and did her makeup ready to meet Joel. She wore her posh cloothes and her favourite shade of lipstick. She only wore it for special occasions and it was a really unique colour. Chris knocked her door and she ran down to him. "Wow" He breathed. She smiled and he pecked her cheek. He wore a suit with badges and safety pins added around the edges to give himself the special look.

Sally and Joel had been at the party for 2 hours when Joel pulled her aside. "I've spoken to everybody I know and the main party is in swing so nobody will notice if you want to leave now?" He questioned with a cheeky smile. She beamed and nodded as he led her out the back way. They laughed as they stumbled into the street behind the restaurant. The laughter died down and he pushed her to the wall and kissed her. She flung her hands onto his neck and supported his head with her fingers. His arms on the wall, they kissed still. Then Joel's phone rang.
"Yeah" he stopped kissing her unwillingly. She kissed his neck as he spoke. He continued with more yes's, ok's and a variety of hmm's. He put his phone back in his pocket and kissed Sally. "Ok, I'm meeting up with Laurri. I'm sorry to cut our time short." She shrugged and hugged him. She stood on her tip toe's and kissed his head. He left and she fell onto the wall. Earlier she had told Laurri that it would take somebody special to replace her, she was begining to worry if the special person was becoming Sally.

"You taste weird again." Laurri laughed as she kissed Joel. He shrugged and smiled. She then looked at him properly. "What's that?" She asked looking up at his neck, forehead and then his lips. He gave her a dodgey look. "Joel?" She sniffed. He looked at her with his head on one side. "Is that...." She could barely talk. "Is that Sally's lipstick?" He looked shocked.
"No." He prayed she wouldn't ask again, he could lie once but not twice about the same thing.
"Answer me again, Joel." She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "Is that Sally's lipstick?" She looked up at him. He nodded slowly, looking ashamed of himself. Laurri's eyes filled. This had happened before and they were caught, it then happened by accident and now again on purpose. Where they purposely trying to kill her? Probably.

"First, you guess we have broken up then kiss my best friend. Next, you kiss my best friend, thinking it was me and don't even apologise. Now you have just kissed her again?" Laurri was angry. "How many times have you kissed her?"
"Just the once, now." He looked sad. "And before we left for the party. Then a few times at the party." She looked madder and madder. "Then there was in the park where we kissed for about half an hour." She looked about to burst. "Then there was the OTHER time at the park." She shook her head. "And then a few times when we where with your mates."
    "Wern't they accidents?" She snapped.
"Yes." He answered confidently. "Most of them." He spoke quieter. "There were a few after you stormed off aswell." She looked truly disgusted. "So, I think I'm braking up with you."
    "WHAT?" She exclaimed.
"You don't do it for me anymore. When I'm with her, I feel loved. When I'm with you, I feel loved but not like with her." She shok her head in disagreement.
"No. No, you can't." She was crying more now. "I was gonna forgive you and say it's alright."
"No. I'm sorry, I have made my decision. It's her." He patted her back and walked away.

"I'm going to kill him." Chris yelled. "He's a dead man." He was pacing as Sally watched him. "I can't believe he did this to you." He shouted.
"Did what to me?" She stood up and in his way so he was unable to continue pacing. "There are two parts to this duet."
"Yes, but he shouldn't have kissed you first."
"It was only an accident." She put her arms around the still pacing Chris and he threw her off him. "I still love you." She put her arm on his shoulder and paced with him, trying to slow him down. He stopped and looked at her.
    "You do?" He looked sad.
"Of course." She stepped closer. "He still loves Laurri." She was almost touching his body now and she moved her hand to his face. She was about to kiss him when he took a deep breath and marched out the room, leaving Sally trying to kiss the air. "Fuck." She whispered.

"YOU" Chris yelled, pointing at Joel.
"Shit." Joel turned and began running. Chris just ran faster to catch him. He grabbed his t-shirt and pulled him to face him.
"What the hell do you think you where doing with my girlfriend?" He shouted.
"I love her." Joel whimpered. "I'm sorry, but I do."
"Well, unlove her then. You have a girlfriend." He spoke unsympathetically.
"No. I don't." Joel pushed Chris off him. "I left her this afternoon." Chris looked worried. "For Sally." That's when he had crossed the line. Chris grabbed his shirt again and hit him. Joel just stood back in amazement. He had never seen Chrios hit anybody before, this was a first..... and it hurt!
"Stay away from my girlfriend." He yelled as he walked away.

Laurri was sitting in her bedroom window, watching all of this. She ran down the stairs and to the front of the house where Joel was sitting, holding one side of his face and muttering something about Chris. She ran to him and sat down pulling his hand from his face. "Oh, Joel." She spoke softly and sympathetically. "I think it's time you set things straight." She looked at the already painfull looking bruise down his face. He nodded. She hugged him and he took a deep breath,.
"I'll start like this." He put one hand on her face, pulled her forwards and kissed her. She smiled.
"Good. Now you should talk to the others." She beamed.

Joel arrived at Sally's house. She let him in and they sat on her bed. "This is too risky. I love Laurri and almost lost her. You love Chris, and because of him, you almost lost me." He pointed to the ever larger bruise. Sally held her laughter. "Yeah. It is quite funny." He smirked. "I still love you. You know that, right?" She nodded. "I just think it would be a better idea if we stayed as we where." He tried to smile at her. She nodded again, held her arms out for a hug. He leaned over and hugged her tight. She leaned half away from him, so she was still sortof hugging him.
"Once more." She smiled. "For old times sake?" He smiled at her and kissed her. She closed her eyes and savoured their last kiss. They both slowly pulled away from each other, smiled and nodded. It was what they had to do.

Joel called Chris and explained what he had done, leaving out the part where he kissed Chris' girlfriend again. He accepted the apology and then apologised for hitting him. Chris and Joel where sorted. Next he called Laurri and told her what he had done. She was happy with that. Finally, he called Sally and they met up. He bought her an ice-cream and they spent 3 hours talking about seagulls. =)

  • The seventh story

    Number 7.....

Laurri threw her phone at the wall and it shattered. She shouted at the top of her voice "TWAT" She let out all her anger and then fell on to her bed, exhasted. For the seventeenth time this month, Sally had blown her off for a date with Chris. She crawled on the floor and picked up each piece of her phone and attempted to fit them together. She was missing a bit, "Crap." She muttered over and over. It was six in the evening and she needed something to do. She would call Joel. "Joel hang out with me. Sally has once again ditched me for Chris." There was no reply. "Joel?"
"I'm sorry dear, but...." An old womans voice answered. "....... Joel has been taken to hospital."
"Oh, oh my god. Why?" Laurri sat on the bed with her hand over her mouth in shock, awaiting bad news.
"He was standing in the garden, he went deathly pale and fell to the floor, enconcious." The woman was sympathetic. "He hasn't woken up yet. The doctors don't know how long he will be like this, it could be minutes, it could be years." Laurri caught her breath and felt a tear down her face.
"Oh my god. Oh.........Can I see him?"
"His parents are in Germany and I am far to old to be down there so I'm sure he would apreciate a visitor." The woman was his aunt. "He is in ward 12." The woman continued.
"Okay. Thank you." Laurri put the phone down. Then she found the final piece of her mobile infront of a picture of Joel she had on her nightstand.

Laurri ran down the street. It was begining to get dark and her parents were on holiday in France. The only way she could get to the hospital was on foot. The last bus left twenty minutes ago. She was sprinting, she needed to get there as fast as she could. After eight minutes of sprinting she fell to her knees. She had no breath. She couldn't speak, she could barely breathe. She sat against the wall, got out her phone and text Sally. She explained Joel was in hospital. After the text, she retrieved her breath and began walking towards the hospital. It was about three miles away from here, she had to get there.

"Oh god. We have to get to the hospital." Sally read her text and she stood up from the table. Chris didn't question, he just grabbed his coat and shoved a twenty on the table on their way out.

Laurri reached the hospital. It was pitch black in the centre of town. It was not a safe place. She ran into the hospital, up the stairs and followed the signs to ward 12. She ran around the corner and there was Joel. He was white. His eyes where closed and his fringe had fallen to one side. Laurri looked over his bed and stroked his fringe into place slowly. She leaned down and hugged his cold, still body. She closed her eyes and hoped that when she opened them he would be better, they would actually be at home and she was just dreaming..... but when she opened them, they where still there. She ran her fingers down his chest and looked at him. He was lying there, he looked so helpless, so fragile. She was about to break down when Sally skidded around the corner holding Chris' hand. "How is he?" Sally asked quietly. Chris put his arm around Laurri in a sympathetic way, he looked a little flirty so, just to be on the safe side, Sally grabbed his ass and he laughed. "Point proven?" She asked and Chris nodded, still smiling.

They had been sitting by his bed for an hour. Sally was asleep, leaning on Chris' knee. Chris looked at Laurri. "I think we're going to leave now. Sally's tired and I ought to take her home realy." He smiled at her. She nodded. "Do you want me to walk with you aswell?" He asked sympathetically. "No." She shook her head. "I'm going to sleep here tonight." She leaned on Joel's bed. Chris nodded. He very slowly lifted Sally's head and stood up. He turned to Laurri, gave her a hug and kissed her forehead in a friendly way. He walked back to Sally, bent down and kissed her. She opened her eyes and touched his face."Gonna leave now." He stroked her hair. "Walk you home." He stood up and helped her stand. "Night Laurri." He held Sally's hand as they walked, she was still half asleep and unaware of alot. He steadied her as she walked and they walked home.

To get to Sally's house, you had to go past Chris'. He would have let her walk the rest of the way on her own but she was so tired that he was already practically carrying her. They where about five minutes from her house when he looked at her properly. She was a mess. "You're not going to make it home are you?" He asked. Sally shook her head. "Come on." He smirked and turned to offer her a piggy back. She jumped onto his back and he took her to his house. She was pretty much asleep by the time they got upstairs so he just lay her gently onto his bed and pulled the cover over her. "Night, baby." He kissed her, then stepped back and smiled. He would sleep on the floor tonight.

Weeks past. Everyday Laurri would turn up at Joel's side and change his flowers. She made sure he would have chocolate and company for as long as he could. She missed him so much. One particular day, it had been a long time. A doctor came to the bed. "I spoke to his aunt." The doctor spoke softly. "We've decided it would be best to let him go now. He is living by a machine. There are people who need this bed. I'm sorry. You have a day left." Laurri nodded. The doctor left them alone for a while. She looked at him closely and whispered in his ear.
"I can't believe this. I need you so much Joel, I don't know how I'm going to manage without you." She felt a tear. "I know you care about me, I'm so sorry that it had to come to this." She found it harder and harder to talk.

The last day passed quickly. The doctor re-appeared soon. He told her they had five minutes left. Laurri was in tears. She leaned over him and kissed his face. This was the last time she would ever see him. He would be gone, dead, never to be seen again. The realisation was kicking in very badly now. "Joel." She wept. "I love you, Joel." She whispered and a tear fell from her cheek onto his face. Nothing happened. Her tears had become so intense, she couldn't see properly. She dried her eyes so her last memory was a good one. "I love you....." She whispered again. She fell onto his body and placed her hands on his chest. She felt arms on her back. She sat up and looked around. There was nobody there. She lay back down. Her tears wetting his clothes. The hands again. She sniffed and looked up. It was joel. He was awake! She cried more, but with happieness. His eyes slowly opened. "JOEL" She screamed! He smiled, unaware that five minutes ago, she thought he would be dead. She pushed herself onto his lips. "Oh my god, I love you!" She screamed. He kissed her back. He was alive!

The next week, everything was back to normal. Joel was alive, he was in a perfect relationship with Laurri, who was fine and Sally and Chris where happily together!

  • The sixth story

    Done.
Sally stubbed out her ciggarette on the grass and stood up. She dusted herself down put a piece of chewing gum in her mouth. "Anyway. I'm off!" A choras of cya's followed from the others as she climbed over the gate and walked down across the field. She was off to see Chris! She got out her de-oderant and sprayed herself all over so to mask the smell, she did this every weekend before meeting Chris. He was standing the other side of the feild and she shouted him! He turned, waved and began to run towards her. Sally spat her chewy to one side and ran to him. She hadn't seen him for a whole week so he flung his arms out and she jumped into them. He kissed her for ages and she began to think he was doing it 'cause he could taste the smoke, but he pulled off happily so she was fine. She jumped down and smiled a huge smile, he smiled back!
Laurri laughed as she felt Joel's hand getting further and further up her leg. She winked at him and he smiled. "Back in a second!" She grinned and stood up grqabbing Joel's hand and running behind a hedge. The others just laughed. They both smoked, so they had nothing to worry about hiding from each other.
"Alright, I'll see you baby." Chris kissed Sally and she walked away, waving. She walked back to the field where her friends where and reached into her pocket for another fag and the other for a lighter. She put it in her mouth and flicked the lighter. She was incredibly happy so she just smiled at everyone and they wolf whistled thinking about what she had been doing with Chris all day. She shook her head at them. She sat down with her back to the gate and looked around at everybody including Laurri and Joel who had just sat back down, giggleing.
"Ahhhhhhh." Sally sighed as she breathed the smoke out after her first puff. "Thats nice." She flicked it back into her mouth and took in a deep puff. Everybody had stopped and put theirs behind their backs. "What are you doing?" She looked at them, breathing out smoke as she spoke. She turned around to see feet. "Oh god." She followed the feet up. She knew from the start who it was. She looked at the legs, the chest, shoulders and eventually brought herself to look at the face. An angry and disappointed face. "Fuck" She whispered. She stood up and went to hug the furious Chris but he put his hand out and stopped her. She put her hand on his chest and the other on his face. He pushed her over and jumped over the gate.
"I was going to give you these." He picked a rose from back pocket and spat on it. He threw it at her. "Enjoy." He used one hand to jump over the gate and jogged through the next fields.
Laurri looked at Joel with a serious face. "Would it bother you if I smoked?" She asked with a lit fag in one hand and Joel had the same. Joel laughed. "What?" She was serious.
"Oh!" He laughed. She didn't. "We're both smoking now arn't we?" He was genuinely worried.
"Oh yeah! So, I guess you'r o.k with it then?" She realised the stupidity and laughed. Neither of them noticed Sally who had tried to jump over the gate after Chris, missed and fallen face first on the floor into the next field with her feet in the air.
"A little help here?" A muffled sound from the floor came as Sally's face was squished into the mud. They both got up to help her and she looked at them in a *why didn't you help me, wasn't it obvious I needed help?* way and ran after Chris. Joel and Sally burst out laughing at sat back down to continue their conversation.
A cow slowly wondered across the next field. Joel had an idea. He walked off and Laurri sat with her friends still. A few minutes later everybody was silenced by a disturbing mooo and a *yeeeh haa!*! Laurri ran to see what the problem was, she stood at the gate and then fell over laughing. Joel had seen the cow and decided it hadn't had enough adrenaline today so he decided to play a game. He had infact, jumped on the cow, and ridden it. The cow did not like this game but Joel did. He was on the bucking cow for at least 30 seconds untill he was thrown off into a large patch of what can only be described as crap. He stood up and raised both hands in a victory stance! He walked over to the girls, opened the gate and went over to hug Laurri with his toilet dwelling covered arms. She squeeled and ran away!
Sally finally caught up with Chris. She had blisters, she had wet socks and her hair was wet from the rain. Chris loved it when her hair was wet. She touched his arm and he threw it back violently, pushing her off it. "I'm so sorry." She whispered to him above the noise of the rain now heavy on them. It had only just started. They both liked the rain.
"Don't bother." Chris never even turned to look at her. She knew his views on smoking and she knew how strongly he felt. "I can't believe you did it." He turned to look at her then stopped dead in his tracks, causeing her to bump into him slightly. "Even though you're, so..." His shout turned to a whisper and his anger was washed away by the rain. "wet, and cold, and....." He pulled her quickly towards him and kissed her. She let him do as he wanted, she knew she had done wrong to him so she just apologised quietly into his ear through kisses. He took off his jacket and wrapped them in it like a cape. She hugged him, he was warm. He was always warm. She looked up at him and smiled. He lent on her head and all was forgotten.
When Sally and Chris reached the smoking field, Laurri was sat in the middle the patch of grass under the tree, slightly raised from the others. They walked closer and she was sitting on Joel. Joel wreaked of something, they decided it was best not to ask. "You ready Laurri?" Sally shouted to her. Laurri stood up, dusted herself off and walked towards her. Sally gave Chris a huge kiss and passed him his jacket as it had stopped raining. "We're off to town." She smiled and they walked away. Joel stood up and gave Chris a man hug, smearing his arms all over him.
"Dude?" Chris moaned. "You need a shower!" He commented.
"So do you my friend!" Joel replied with a smile, Chris was unaware of his newly made coverings. "So do you..."
Sally and Laurri walked out of the little piercing shop on the main road and made their way down to the bus sation. "He went mad about smoking, what's he going to say about this?" Laurri shook her head at Sally. "It's a bad idea." It was too late though. Sally ried to reply but couldn't because of the cube of ice in her mouth, on her tongue. That was a good point. What would Chris think to her newest peircing? Oh well, she was sure he'd like it. She would just hide it untill it was healed enough to kiss him. She picked up her phone and text him: I'm sick. I'm at home and you can't see me for a few days untill I'm better. I don't want you to catch it. The text read. Sally got home and sat in her room watching t.v.
After a week of persuading Chris not to come over, she met up with him. He went straight to kiss her but she put her hand up. "Eeer.... no." She shook her head. "Bad breath." She pointed to her mouth and nodded. Chris just laughed and continued walking. Later, he had given her gum and they were standing alone infront of the sunset. He smiled at her and went to kiss her. "Stop!" She shreiked. "My nans over there, look. HI NAN!" She was waving at a scared old lady across the field. Chris noticed this wasn't right. She hadn't kissed him all day. What could be wrong. He had to find out without being too obvious. Then next day he took her to the park in the dark. They lay on a blanket on the ground with candles and food. The stars where everywhere and then, just as he planned, the village fireworks display started. He held her hand and she was so engrossed in the fireworks that she didn't notice him about to kiss her. He did. Then he stopped. Very suddenly. There was something cold and smooth in her mouth. What the hell was that? She stood up. "Fuck." She whispered and put her hand over her mouth. "I was gonna tell you, but I didn't think you'd like it." She looked worried. "I, got my tongue pierced." She bit her lip. He did not look happy.

After a few minutes of her talking about her tongue she decided to shut up and see what he acctually thought. "Well, if you had asked me a few hours ago, do you like tongue piercings? I would have told you to fuck off. They're horrible but seeing that on you, it's gorgeous." She smiled as he continued to talk. "Won't this stop you being able to kiss me though?" He asked. She shook her head and he kissed her. Observing the metal with his own tongue, he could make out that it wasn't just a ball. He lent back. "Open your mouth." He ordered.
"Surprise." She smiled and stuck her tongue out to reveal a stud, modelled in the words: I love you. He smiled. They both lent back to continue watching the fireworks. He kissed her.
    "I love you too."
